Ester Carro is an architect and social urban planner recognized in the 2023 FORBES Under 30 list in the design category. A PhD candidate at Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie, she is also a professor and holds a master's degree in urban planning from FIAM-FAAM. With specializations in Social Urbanism (Insper) and Housing and the City (Escola da Cidade), her career is intertwined with her activism. Born and raised in the Paraisópolis complex in São Paulo, Ester presides over the Fazendinhando Institute, an award-winning initiative that transforms urban territories and promotes socio-environmental actions in communities. Through the institute, she works on the revitalization of public spaces and the training of local residents , especially women , in civil construction. Her career, marked by her commitment to social transformation, has received important awards, such as the Social and Environmental Responsibility Award from the São Paulo City Council, reflecting her positive impact on the city.
