Dining room

CASACOR Minas Gerais

Art is the main guest at dinner and is everywhere. The project chose a darker gray to highlight it and also to give the room a scenic feel: it is on the walls, curtains and, in a softer tone, on the furniture. The tone covers the walls and ceiling and the floor, all in peroba, was covered with a huge rusty rug, pulled towards red, which creates an air of royalty amidst so many contemporary treasures. Following the inspiration of a collection that includes renowned names among objects, sculptures and paintings, the dining table forgets the conventional: it is shapeless and organic, with thin legs, in ebonized open-pore veneer, designed by Giorgio Bonaguro. Black is also present on the sideboards, punctuated by art in all its expressions. Around the table, comfortable chairs with a rosewood frame and gray linen, designed by Jorge Zalszupin. In a lounge near the fireplace and on the same rug, two LC 2 armchairs by Le Corbusier in gray canvas contrast with the size of the armchair by Antônio Citterio, with an ottoman, both in black and with the design of the floor lamp with a marble base by Achille Castiglioni. The result is an emotion on the surface, which enhances any gastronomic moment. Among the artists who create the scene of a valuable gallery are Zé Bezerra, Maurino de Araújo, Daniel A Costa, Sara não tem nome, Hugo Mendes, Alex Cerveny.
