DW! – São Paulo Design Weekend is ready to welcome visitors from all over the country. The event, one of the largest urban design festivals in the country, is in its 12th edition and will take place from
March 11 to 19, 2023 . With a packed schedule of
activities at multiple locations throughout the city – encompassing areas of product design, interior design, architecture, art, urban planning and the creative market –, DW! 2023 is distributed across districts (which can be a street, one or more neighborhoods, regions or
hubs ), but here at
CASACOR we have selected the most interesting ones for you to visit. Below, check out our itinerary, which we have divided into
three sections (

Other highlights ) so you can organize yourself and enjoy the best of Brazilian design. Check it out!
Center
1. Virginia Building
Three floors of the Virgínia Building will be occupied by exhibitions held by the developer Sumauma: "
You and I are many… " and "
How much time do we have? ". The first is curated by
Claudio Magalhães , creator of BaFu – Barra Funda Autoral, and brings together artists such as
Guto Lacaz ,
Noemi Saga ,
Vicenta Perrota , among others. The second addresses the consumer challenges of contemporary society, with the participation of
Constance Galeria ,
Ruína Arquitetura and
IED - Istituto Europeu de Design. On the 7th floor, there will be an exhibition dedicated to
sustainable fashion , bringing together brands such as
Trama Afetiva ,
Kitecoat and
From Future . The program also includes debates on various topics such as
paths for housing in downtown São Paulo ,
retrofit ,
circular economy and
biodesign . Vitor Pena, Raul Juste Lores, Carmen Silva, José Armenio Brito Cruz, Alexandre Salles, Washington Fajardo, Raquel Schenkman, Augustina Comas and Jackson Araújo will be present.

2. Fair at Rosenbaum
This year, the Rosenbaum Fair will be held at
Conjunto Zarvos , one of the best-preserved historic modernist galleries in downtown São Paulo. The project was designed by architect
Júlio Neves , and the details, designed by
Jorge Zalszupin , are eye-catching. Original works signed by
70 creatives and companies will showcase design, art, decoration, fashion, well-being and gastronomy products in an effective social action aimed at downtown São Paulo. In addition to democratizing access to original design, the Fair also positions itself as a catalyst for the
development of traditional communities and the
appreciation of original design , promoting the Almerinda Malaquias Foundation, in Amazonas, and supporting the Salão Design 2023 Award, which aims to reward talents in industrial furniture design.

3. By Kamy
Also at Galeria Zarvos, the brand intertwines
art ,
sustainability and
the future with the “Elementi” exhibition. In partnership with talented designers, By Kamy develops exclusive pieces inspired by the natural elements that give shape and life to the planet. The space also hosts exhibitions and
more than 37 stores – such as Derlon and Paulo Alves (Cine Speakeasy), among others – in this complex that is experiencing a new moment in the city.

4. Design in the Metropolis Exhibition
Designers, studios and artists who work and reside at the gallery present their work in various media, through events and interventions. Highlights include works by

5. BOOMSPDESIGN
In addition to Missoni's creations for
St. James ,
Idea 10 and
Tapecouro , the fair will also feature the "
Embroiderers 9 de Julho " and the artist
Thereza Salazar , a partnership that resulted in a huge panel called Projeto Ocupação 'Borboletas'.
Regina Silveira and
Renata Meirelles will show the 'Roller' series, the result of a partnership between the artist and the designer to create a limited collection of contemporary jewelry pieces.

1. Being Mobile
What do you want to be when you grow up? From the perspective of the microcosm, the exhibition created by artist and curator
Felipe Morozini reveals
particular universes of furniture and
miniature works signed by 22 creatives, including designers, artists and artisans.

2. Florense
(Denilson Machado/CASACOR)
The project was conceived by the brand's creative director,
Roberta Castellan , and curated by two important names in the architecture and design scene:
Aldi Flosi and photographer
Denilson Machado . The goal is to show a snapshot of the art being made in Brazil today.

3. ETEL

To celebrate its 30-year history, the brand opens with the retrospective exhibition "
On the Border Between Art and Design ", which features the first pieces designed by
Etel Carmona and
Claudia Moreira Salles . And as part of this cross-border action, curator
Iatã Cannabrava presents the exhibition “
Brazilian Modernist Utopias ”, which takes place at Casa Zalszupin. Important: visits are subject to scheduling.

Doimo Mansion
From March 11 to 12,
Casarão Doimo will host a charity bazaar with companies and products participating in
Decor Social . All proceeds from the sale of the collection will be donated to the project, which aims to transform shelters for children and adolescents in situations of social vulnerability through architecture and interior design.
