Because they have more than one use, multifunctional furniture offers several benefits, especially for small spaces. For example, a table can be turned into a bench, a chest, a TV stand, and even a bed – which brings practicality to the space, as well as, of course, extra free space and a pleasant organization to the place. To inspire your next project, we have listed 5 multifunctional furniture pieces from different designers for you to explore and explore your creativity . Check it out!

A double bench that can be used to divide spaces or be left loose in the space was highlighted in the Loft (IN)Terno space, designed by architect Ticiane Lima for CASACOR SP 2023 . Designer Claudia Moreira Salles developed a multifunctional piece of furniture with straight lines that recall modernist architecture and that are sweetened by the Miesian roll that divides the seat and the concavities with small holes for water drainage, which give comfort and rhythm to the piece.

2. Bancada Island, by Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec

A bench where you can also store objects! The idea behind the Gomo Chest , from Líder, is to transform itself according to its function: at first glance, it appears to be a few stacked cushions , but when you interact with the piece, you notice the movable top, which opens to hold a variety of objects, from bed linens to accessories such as bags and shoes.
