Louis Vuitton has just launched its first collection of tableware and dinnerware with a series of plates, bowls, cups, platters and teapots, as well as glasses, cups and vases made from glass and porcelain. Functional and not very experimental, the collection preserves the quality associated with the brand while appropriating the imagery associated with
classic tableware .
"Monogram Flowe Tile" is the first line that makes up the collection, in which the highlight is the
incorporation of Louis Vuitton's traditional printed pattern decoratively on the edges of the blue and white porcelain plates.
Made in Limoges, a French city known for its historic porcelain production, the pieces reference traditional 17th century porcelain in a
contemporary reinterpretation . Fine details, seen in brushed watercolor effects, showcase the artistry behind the collection.
Meanwhile, "Twist" is a collection of glasses whose glass design acts as if they were
fragments of stained glass . The idea here is to fit perfectly into a summer Mediterranean table. Available in bold tones – Crystal Clear, Sapphire Blue, Amber, Emerald and Venetian Ruby – the glasses bring a spiral of
vivid colors to the collection.
In analogous colors, the "Flower" jugs are actually
decanters , which change shape in order to complement the "Twist" glasses.
