The most important week in design is about to begin! From April 17th to 23rd , Milan Design Week will feature several events in and around the city center of Milan, Italy. Important and revolutionary women in design will also be present on the week's calendar, exhibiting their pieces that feature unique, creative and contemporary features . So, below, get to know 5 designers who will be present at Milan Design Week 2023 .

Patricia Urquiola

Cultured and elegant, with an extroverted Spanish temperament, Patricia Urquiola is a legend of Italian design . Minimalist and balanced lines, a rich variety of functionality , materials, colors and shapes make up the pieces that bear the designer's signature . Her inspiration comes from anything that catches her eye. From a package to an extraordinary journey, Urquiola is able to give meaning to things : classic, informal, intimate or contemporary.

Rossana Orlandi

One of the most important gallery owners and designers, the Italian Rossana Orlandi started with small pieces that were presented as an aesthetic dialogue where objects communicate with each other outside of space and time. In her gallery, the designer presents a large showcase of various furniture objects , such as lamps, mirrors, sofas, tables. Thus, at Milan Design Week, Galleria Rossana Orlandi is a must-see !

Paola Navone


One of the most important designers on the Italian scene, Paola Navone was one of the first to create large, deep pieces of furniture for the living room, as well as being one of the pioneers of “shabby-chic” . As a designer who breaks the rules and breaks boundaries , her portfolio includes a wide range of products, decorative objects, fabrics, lamps and jewelry, as well as interior design work for brands, showrooms and exhibitions.

Francesca Lanzavecchia ’s designs tell stories and dreams in her vision of the world. A graduate in industrial design from the Polytechnic of Milan, the designer has collaborated with major brands such as Zanotta, FIAM, Living Divani, Hermès, among others. Over the years , she has received several awards , including the “Red Dot Award: Product Design 2016” for the Trasition collection for Mirage®.
