Eiffel Bookstore opens its doors in Niemeyer building in downtown São Paulo

Book lovers can now enjoy a place specializing in architecture and urban planning publications in Praça da República

One of the most iconic buildings in the city of São Paulo now has a new cultural meeting point for the city's architects and urban planners: the Eiffel Bookstore , which opens its doors today (8) in the Eiffel Building , designed by Oscar Niemeyer and Claudio Lemos in 1953. . The collection includes national and imported books on architecture, urban planning, graphic design, industrial design and landscaping; as well as new releases, rare and out-of-print books and works selected by the bookstore itself. In total, there are 2,500 titles .
The new bookstore occupies the ground floor of the historic residential building and is divided into two floors, which together total 75 m2 . Among the works that can be found there are Brazil Buds, published by MoMA in 1943; and the Complete Works by Paulo Mendes da Rocha, book written by Daniele Pisani and published in 2013. The bookstore will have an e-commerce website that will start operating from 2023. Until then, it is possible to order purchases by phone or email.
