In recent years, the idea of well-being and self-care has become a focus of many people's attention. But at least two centuries ago, the Danes invented a word that sums up this feeling precisely. It's hygge (pronounced "hygge"). ), which does not have a literal translation and represents comfort, protection, sociability. All these senses are present in the Hygge Studio, an environment that designer Melina Romano designed for
CASACOR São Paulo 2019 . The keen eye is revealed in the choice of rounded and organic shapes for the furniture, which break any visual rigidity.
Intelligently applied and full of personality, the tones transition between neutrals in the furniture - all of national design. There are some contrasting points of color, such as in the upholstered headboard.
The 68 m² space includes a suite, bathroom, living room and kitchen. They were completely integrated, but in a deconstructed way. The layout of the rooms is designed with modular and changing elements, which allows for different redistributions of space.
The finishes are easy to maintain and clean. And, above all, they confirm the Brazilian character. The floor is made of terracotta ceramic tiles without grout, while the walls have the rustic charm of exposed brick. Textures that evoke the fond memories of so many homes in the country. .

The illuminated three-dimensional panel made of cobogós was strategically positioned in the middle of the living room. It is there like a work of art, which creates a play of light and shadow in the space. This is one of the resources that provides soft light, in addition to being an element which is part of the identity of Brazilian architecture. The super comfortable modular sofa combines several fabrics in the upholstery.

Greenery is also present in the loft and contrasts with the terracotta ceramics. The bathroom, openly integrated with the bedroom, received an intervention with tropical vegetation, carried out by florist Aline Matsumoto.
