During the 13th DW! São Paulo Design Week, the intersection between Rua Direita and Largo da Misericórdia received an unusually large flow of people for the region: 15 thousand pedestrians willing to walk along the sidewalks to enjoy culture, leisure and pure art . The address that attracted the public was at Largo da Misericórdia, nº 20, named Misericórdia in homage to the square. The building, originally a commercial building that will undergo a retrofit process to offer residential units, had its nine floors occupied by creative collectives along the DW!. After the success of the exhibition, the developer Somauma responded to public demand and decided to reactivate the actions . Mixing the original program with new artists, the visits will take place on the weekends from April 6 to 28.
Curated by Felipe Morozini and executed by Pistache Ganache, this sculpture is a reproduction of the old Chafariz da Misericórdia.

The address of the new development housed the city's first public water supply, the “Chafariz da Misericórdia” , built by the black architect and engineer Joaquim Pinto de Oliveira Tebas , in 1792. Receiving around 3 thousand people daily during Design Week, the Seiva e Cidade movement now continues as a way to stimulate a new occupation of spaces , and to shed light on the invisible past of downtown São Paulo.
The installation on the 9th floor features the painting “Cabeça de Negro”, by Candido Portinari (1934), often associated with the image of Thebes. Compassion. Somauma
