From one of the largest airports in the world to the completion of the restoration of one of the most important cathedrals in history, this new year promises countless breathtaking architectural works . Below, check out 7 projects scheduled to open in 2024!

1. New MASP building - São Paulo


masp; projeto; metro arquitetos; são paulo; museu de arte; arquitetura; Scheduled for the second half of the year, the new MASP ( São Paulo Museum of Art) building – designed by the METRO Arquitetos firm – will increase the museum's area by 6,945 m² and will inaugurate 14 new floors of galleries, classrooms, technical reserve, restoration laboratory, restaurant, store and event areas.

2. Restoration of Notre-Dame Cathedral - Paris

Closed to the public since 2019 when a fire destroyed the 19th-century roof , the restoration of Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris will be completed and reopened in December this year.

6. Navi Mumbai International Airport, India

In 2018, Zaha Hadid Architects (ZHA ) won an international competition to design Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA) in India, a crucial infrastructure project for the country's largest city . Operations are expected to begin in December this year.
