VoePass Lounge presents lightness, sophistication and an ode to memory

“You were born to fly!”. This is how, giving wings to freedom and creativity, the VoePass Lounge project was born, a playful, sophisticated and, at the same time, cozy and inviting environment at CASACOR Ribeirão Preto 2022. Designed by architects Roberta de Oliveira Mariano and Maísa Busch in partnership with Novittà Decor , a leading store for high-end furniture in the city of Ribeirão Preto (SP), the space tells a little of the history of the oldest airline in Brazil still in operation. and the city's heritage: the old Passaredo, now VoePass.

Exploring objects from the personal collection of the company's founder, José Luiz Felício , the architects rescue the company's memories that merge with Ribeirão Preto's own history of development and innovation , proposing a space for chat, contemplation and lots of exchange in amidst the CASACOR exhibitions. Inside, the Vírgula sofa , by Artur de Menezes , not only brings movement and form to the space, but also proposes a pause for rest, sharing and reflection.

Just like the Jaíba armchair , created by Maurício Bomfim , which plays with essentially singular curves, while provoking an encounter of sensations, like a hug, a call for comfort or, in other words, the seat of an airplane . “Since this is a large-scale exhibition, we chose only signed icons to carry the name of Novittà, our office and the entire story we seek to tell through this environment. The design of the Jaíba armchair was the first to catch our attention.” attention to its shape that reminded us of an aircraft seat and then we started connecting the other chosen furniture”, say Roberta and Maísa.

To complete the concept of the space, two large windows inspired by the windows of Voe Pass aircraft give a special touch to the project . “We believe that the windows will be the icons of our Lounge. Another highlight of the space is the inclined metal structure that is repeated in the porticos of the external area. A space with few right angles , investing in lightness and a comforting sophistication to make us float! ”, conclude the architects.
