Signed by the students of the Interior Design course at the School of Fine Arts of UFBA, under the coordination of Bruna Dória, the Lavabo Entre Ondas arises from the duality between the natural and the artificial. The concept started with a critique of pollution and the attempt to promote reflection on it through the reuse of plastic fostered by a project from the university itself – Zer0: Social Technology for Local Plastic Recycling. In the search for impacts caused by plastic in nature, the students arrived at plastistone, the result of the fusion between stones and microplastics, promoted by pollution, and with that, the other parts of the concept began to take shape. Thus, a plastic material produced at the university was implemented in the projects through a carefully assembled panel at the entrance of the projects symbolizing the search for reconnection with nature amidst urban reality.
