Tiny House shows that "less is more" and stands out at CASACOR São Paulo

Inspired by the theme “ Body & Home ”, Cabana RI.TO is a collaborative work carried out by the duo Ricardo Caminada and Tota Penteado that explores the concept of contemporary tiny house . The project, present at CASACOR São Paulo , has as its main objective to be a space to rest, renew energy and emotional connections through the perception of the body, mind, home and surroundings. Just as the search for self-care and a simpler lifestyle became trends, the tiny house movement grew based on the minimalism of spaces and the best use of resources. With 44 m² , the RI.TO Cabin explores multifunctionality and technology to create a smart, reduced, yet balanced layout . The spaces prioritize practicality, comfort, tranquility and well-being. Another striking feature of the tiny house movement is sustainability . In the project, natural and organic raw materials were chosen to be integrated into the environment from the construction of the space, with ecological materials such as 100% recyclable glass, reclaimed wood and metal structures in aluminum and corten steel . To ensure durability and easy maintenance, economical terrazzo coverings were used. In addition, handcrafted work in pure wool and banana fibers was added, created by Tiago Braga for Oiamo Design, using ancestral techniques by cooperatives of female artisans in the extreme south of Brazil. The cabin is divided into intimate spaces, such as a living room/bedroom, a gourmet kitchen on the balcony and a bathroom . All follow a harmony of mineral, earthy and natural tones . The rug made from recycled PET bottles, the certified leathers, the pure linen fabrics, as well as the ceramics and objects with signs of time deserve special mention. Designed by architect and designer Roberta Banqueri , the highlight is the launch of the welcoming and versatile Boto Sofa , which can be used as a bed, with rounded shapes and a robust body structure, in reference to the docile nature of the mammal .

The meditative armchair designed by Aristeu Pires is an essential element of the complementary furniture set. It contributes to creating a serene and sensorial atmosphere , accentuated by the aromas of the essential oils developed for the project.
