Brazilian design: DonaFlor Mobília launches a collection of its own essence

Breathing, pausing and contemplating are the hallmarks of the new collection. DonaFlor Mobília , a leading brand in outdoor furniture and Brazilian design, whose very essence inspired the new pieces. Here called “ Atmosfera DonaFlor ”, this essence reinforces its manifesto that "life is outside". “Atmosfera DonaFlor brings the essence of our history and proposes this pause to contemplate Brazilian design through creations inspired by the shapes and feelings that nature provides us ”, explains Marcelo Yamasita, director of the brand. For 2022, DonaFlor presents two new collections: Bit, signed by designer Mila Rodrigues ; and Rise, signed by designer Daniel Simonini . In addition, the brand also launches complementary pieces for collections already renowned in its catalog, such as Fence and Vanuíre, signed by big names in national design.

Rise is a complete in-outdoor collection , focused on sinuous, rational and well-defined shapes. The combination of three elements characterizes the pieces: the structural strength of the metal , elaborated with sinuosities, openings and inclinations; the warmth of the wood , which gives the contrast; and the transparency and lightness of the premium outdoor screen . Highlight for the massage bed, a new addition to the brand's portfolio.

The two new items in the Fence collection, considered one of the highlights of the DonaFlor Móbília catalog, are the dining table and chair – two pieces that can be defined by the words elegance, comfort, versatility and contrast . The thickness of the metal profile, the generous upholstery , the delicate wood and nautical rope create the right perception of a slender silhouette and rich textures.

Vanuíre Collection by Eduardo Borém

Launched in 2021, the Vanuíre collection is based on elements of Kaigang mythology , which explores the concept of everything that is related by circular motifs with everything that is related by linear motifs. The collection is composed of angular modules , which make up a flexible and allow for varied and dynamic compositions , in a circle or in a line, depending on the position of the module. The modular sofa and the chair with arms are the new additions to the collection.
