The architect and designer
André Carvalho has been dedicated to furniture design since 2012, when he was still in college. The courses in
woodworking and experimentation in the laboratories at FAU-USP, where he graduated, shaped the future of the professional in the world of design. Today, André's production is marked by
functionality, comfort, and durability — both visual and material. Detalhe da cadeira da coleção Havaí, desenhada por André Carvalho. (divulgação/CASACOR)
The newly launched
Havaí Line is the result of this professional maturation process and arose from the idea of creating furniture that helps to compose an atmosphere of tranquility in the projects. Of
minimalist style, the pieces exhibit simple, well-resolved forms and were designed for breathing spaces that can be inside or outside the house. "Each piece was designed to adapt lightly to different contexts, maintaining a balance between structural robustness and delicacy in the use of materials," explains the designer.

Despite the lightness of the design, the metallic structure with electrostatic painting ensures
resistance and
durability, while the pink cedar, with an oil or polisten finish, enhances the touch and coziness of the wood. "The pieces have a serene presence and invite pause, sharing, and a present body. Like someone walking barefoot from the room to the yard. Like someone lying on the sand," reflects André.

Initially, the Havaí line began with the launch of the
chair and has now expanded with new pieces — such as
tables and
stools — maintaining the same design. The inspiration came from a Havaí imagined by André, which is not a place, but a feeling. "It reminds us that what we call paradise can sometimes just be a matter of being well where we are," he concludes.
