About the show

CASACOR Peru celebrates its 31st edition by ushering in a new chapter in its history. For the first time, the exhibition is built from the ground up, establishing a format that rethinks how ephemeral architecture is conceived in the city. The chosen setting is the Jockey Club del Perú, a site of strong symbolic and urban significance, known for hosting historic moments such as Pope John Paul II’s visit in the 1980s, which gathered more than one million young people. Today, that same place — surrounded by expansive green areas and a lush vegetal presence that frames the route — becomes the threshold for a new perspective.

Under the theme “Mind and Heart,” this edition invites a reflection on how we inhabit, integrate, and project spaces. Spanning 11,000 square meters, 82 professionals shape 44 environments in a broader, more fluid and generous sequence, where architecture intertwines with the landscape and the visitor’s experience takes center stage.

For the first time, CASACOR Peru will be a fully accessible exhibition for people with motor and hearing disabilities, incorporating criteria that expand architecture’s reach as an inclusive tool.

The exhibition unfolds as a diverse and articulated journey, combining residential spaces — houses, lofts, and apartments designed for different lifestyles — with environments dedicated to contemplation, well-being, and exploration, such as indoor gardens, landscape proposals, a spa, and curatorial spaces. Throughout the circuit, visitors move through living rooms, dining areas, kitchens, and bedrooms that reveal distinct ways of understanding domestic life, alongside more conceptual interventions — galleries, architectural installations, bookstores, and studios — that broaden the experience. The proposal is completed by food concessions, cafés, a bar, retail spaces such as the Centro Ann Sullivan bazaar, and institutional areas incorporating cultural and productive content. All of this is articulated between a main pavilion and two outdoor gardens, where architecture merges with the landscape, creating a fluid sequence that balances use, pause, and discovery.

After three decades led by Verónica Torres de Haaker and Elena Benavides, this edition marks a continuation with a renewed vision under the direction of Julio Pérez-Novoa. It is a moment aimed at refining purpose, expanding impact, and consolidating CASACOR as a platform that goes beyond exhibition to become a true cultural showcase.

CASACOR Peru 2026 proposes a way of thinking about the future through architecture — a journey where making gains meaning, where the city reconnects with its possibilities, and where every decision builds something that endures.
