Elected by Forbes Magazine as the country's main social entrepreneur in 2017, Fábio Silva reinforces the vision of this theme and social responsibility at CASACOR São Paulo 2019. With his curation, in co-creation with the event team, these fundamental issues gain a important space for discussion and meeting at Arena CASACOR , in a program reserved for sustainability. Starting June 4th, lectures and cultural presentations will connect different worlds to show how Planeta Casa can take the view of architecture, decoration and landscaping in other directions. Fábio Silva is the president of Transforma Brasil , a digital platform that encourages volunteering and social entrepreneurship in the country. It has been recognized by the United Nations (UN) as one of the leading volunteer programs in the Americas. For 10 years, Fábio has been dedicated to the cause of solidarity, volunteering and the common good. And with social initiatives, it has revolutionized the way Brazilians get involved in social causes. How did Transforma Brasil and CASACOR meet?
What are the highlighted topics at CASACOR SP Sustainability Week? Mariana Serra talks about how to transform your travels and vacations into purpose - whether it's going to Kenya, Mozambique or the backlands of Brazil to do volunteer work. André Soler, from Projeto SP Invisível, talks about how he goes out on the streets giving photos, voice and text to homeless people who are invisible in the city of São Paulo. Juliana Camargo will tell the story of Ampara Animal, one of the main NGOs focused on the animal cause. Another highlight is the social projects from the outskirts of the city that will be presented at the CASACOR SP , such as ballet, symphony orchestra, actions focused on refugee causes and other activities. This year, CASACOR's theme is Planet Home. It reflects on how transforming yourself, starting from where you live, can drive a transformation of the world. How do the themes of entrepreneurship and social responsibility interact with this vision? We built a program together, understanding that those who come to CASACOR come to live an experience. With this participation, we seek to humanize more, connect worlds, bring the periphery to present itself at CASACOR . This is very enriching. And, on the other side, the event's audience can get to know a world that they would not have access to and would not be impacted by, most of the time. CASACOR is an important platform for Brazil, and we are very happy to give visibility to those who really need it, creating this much larger network. Everyone world wins: the people who visit, the city and the planet.

Many non-profit organizations need lawyers, doctors, teachers, journalists, designers, accountants and do not know where to find these and other professionals. They are often willing to help. and they also don't know how. After starting in Recife in 2014, the platform started operating in 11 capitals and now reaches all of Brazil. Anyone can register, providing their profile, how much time they have available, skills and causes they identify with.
