Grafite Garden seeks to unite art and sustainability in cities across Brazil
The CPTM Vila Olímpia and Cidade Jardim stations in São Paulo have already adopted the Graffiti Garden concept

Inspired by the American neighborhood of Wynwood, in Miami – known worldwide for its colorful murals –, muralist Eduardo Kobra and Vertical Garden are developing projects that combine works of art and vertical gardens known as Grafite Garden .“When we talk about art, we don’t just want to highlight the murals with graffiti, but rather to draw attention to an unusual movement with vertical gardens , stimulating the sensitivity of smell, touch, and perception of the environment,” explains Bruno Watanabe, CEO of Vertical Garden.

This is what happened with the Vila Olímpia station (CPTM), with a project that has 1,000 m² of natural plantsirrigated with filtered reused water from the station's sewage system, with moss murals and another one signed by Eduardo Kobra, who "calls" for aclean Pinheiros River.

The partnership between Vertical Garden and Kobra has already implemented more than 10 Graffiti Garden projects , one of the highlights being Ecoparada Madero .
