The 26th edition of Casa Cor Rio de Janeiro was prepared in grand style. Starting with the location: the Celso Rocha Miranda residence, a 1938 building with 5,000 m2 – the well-known “Casa Rosa” –, made room for 67 architects to design 45 spaces. Now, add to this a lot of music and a special area for children. Every Saturday, during the event, visitors will be able to enjoy quality music and children's stories, narrated especially for the little ones.
Good sound
Guilherme Pimenta, along with the talented Daniel Ganc (guitar) and Lucas Videla (percussion), takes a tour of various genres of Brazilian music, such as choro, samba and forró, in addition to promoting an instrumental conversation between violin, guitar and percussion. Creative versions by Guinga, Jacob do Bandolim, Edu Lobo and Pixinguinha are also part of the repertoire. A show in itself for music lovers.
For those who don't want to give up on some captivating jazz, there's good news: the group Vitaleros, made up of Marcos Bravo, João Pinaud, Luciana Lazzuli, Rafael Tavares and Edison Mattos, presents a repertoire with reinterpretations of jazz standards in manouche versions, as well as classics by the gypsy master Django Reinhardt.
Once upon a time...
Children also have a special place at Casa Cor Rio de Janeiro 2016. There, they will be able to listen to stories told by narrators who encourage the construction of a creative and conscious imagination. The book O segredo das estrelas , for example, is a collection of three tales of African and indigenous origins that talk about the creation of stars, the power of words and the importance of listening to those with more experience. Menino, grande menino tells the story of a child who dreams of building a bamboo house. Just bring the little ones and let them have fun!
