In a space that overflows with culture and affection, Mariana Leal , from the Morada 31.12 office, makes her debut at CASACOR Brasília with a proposal that goes far beyond demonstrating her talent. Inspired by the theme " De Presente, o Agora ", Mariana pays a moving tribute to the centenary of her great-uncle, the renowned painter from Sergipe Jenner Augusto , with the creation of the environment " Morada 11.11 ". Just as the name of her office carries the date of her birthday, the space adopts the numbers 11.11, which mark the artist's birth.

The architect spent her childhood between Rio de Janeiro and Salvador, carrying within her the essence of a Brazil that mixes rhythms, colors and stories. Vacations at her aunt and uncle's house, a true "home-studio", were fundamental to awakening her passion for architecture. “This vibrant place, frequented by great names such as Jorge Amado and Dorival Caymmi, shaped my references and inspires my creations to this day”, says the architect. Upon entering the space, visitors are greeted by a harmonious space where modern and traditional blend together naturally. The integrated layout promotes fluidity, creating a more spacious, bright and inviting atmosphere. The latticework, a typical Brazilian architectural element, is used delicately, creating subtle divisions without blocking the passage of natural light. Wood , present in the furniture and coverings, as well as the comfortable armchairs, bring the coziness of a family home.

The use of simple natural materials, such as adobe tiles , in contrast to Travertine marble , creates this interplay between the old and the contemporary, also present in the choice of national modernist furniture . “I wanted to bring elements that tell stories, but that also connect with the present”, explains Mariana.

For Mariana, Morada 11.11 is an opportunity to share with the world the influence that Jenner Augusto and his family had on her life and career. “I hope that whoever passes by here feels the soul of this place, which is at the same time a rescue and a reinvention of our origins ,” she concludes.
