Strength in numbers is a cliché term, but it is on the tip of the tongues of professionals at CASA COR Minas Gerais . Many architects and interior designers form partnerships at the show, even though they do not necessarily work together on a day-to-day basis, maintaining independent offices and clients.

“For those who are just starting out in their careers, like Fernando César and I, it’s great to be part of a joint project. We join forces and funds and share energy and knowledge to be able to do a bigger and more interesting project,” explains Manu Lolato, who this year joined forces with architect Fernando César to design the Café .

Another example of unity is that of the trio Natacha Nascif, Juliana Couri and Maria Gabriela Nogueira, who will be responsible for the Home Theater of this edition. “We have worked together for four years, but after that we decided to each do our own projects, although we still share the same space”, says Natacha. She and Juliana have already participated together in three editions of the show (2007, 2011, 2013). “This year, we decided to unite for several reasons, mainly because we will share the tasks and be able to better meet both the demands of each client and the CASA COR project. Furthermore, with the market being somewhat unstable, we will also share the expenses, without putting too much strain on our pockets”, emphasizes Natacha.

For Ana Bahia, who this year created Bar with Sarah James and Felipe Soares, the greatest advantage of partnerships is the combination of creativity and inspiration. “Our trio worked really well, we’re having a lot of fun working together. Our background in references and studies is the same, so putting together the basics of the project was easy, and then each person added their experience to each part of the proposal,” she explains.

Angélica Araújo, who, together with Ana Andréa Barra and Chris Coelho, will be responsible for Garagem Renault, believes that the philosophy of shared business is already becoming a trend worldwide. “The world today is very interactive and shared work allows this interaction. Our trio, for example, combines my experience in sustainability with Angélica’s eye for interior design and Chris’s technological bias, who is young and in the know,” she says.

The Minas Gerais exhibition takes place from August 30th to October 4th at Alameda das Latânias, 30 – São Luiz – Pampulha – Belo Horizonte.
