With cement cladding in relief patterns and a totally clean decor, the 50 Shades of White Intimate Room, at Casa Cor Santa Catarina 2015 , designed by decorator and designer Laura Gransotto, caught the attention of the public who chose the space as the best environment.
Striking and conceptual, the 50 m² space includes a living room, dining room and home office, all decorated in white. The inspiration comes from the professional’s taste for color. “White is a choice for a light, elegant décor, classic and timeless. It is an ultimate icon of luxury, purity, sophistication and refinement. It stands the test of time and trends,” he explains.
On site we see work done with textures from Floratto coating, a cement with reliefs, created by the company Nina Martinell, which simulates a floral composition. Suitable for internal and external facades, it is available in different shades and also receives water-repellent treatment. , which guarantees its impermeability.
In addition to these details, the space is enhanced by the lighting that highlights some items, including the artisanal lace typical of the island of Santa Catarina.
“The title perfectly expresses what I mean by the 50 shades of white present in the space. It alludes to a current theme in the media and reflects the couple’s moments of pleasure and intimacy, which are subtly present in the space,” declares the designer.
The space won the 2015 Best Environments Award by popular vote, which made the designer celebrate her debut at the show even more. “I felt very happy to win the award, it exceeded all my expectations, since it was my debut at the Casa Cor and the public vote is super important”, celebrates the professional.
