Rooftop terrace gets landscaping that looks like a home garden

Designed by landscaper Anna Luiza Rothier , this terrace is part of a linear roof located in Lagoa, a neighborhood in the South Zone of Rio de Janeiro. The space has a swimming pool with sauna, two open areas and a covered area, which the owners use as an extension of the living room, hosting many outdoor lunches and dinners there. Since the original project was designed by Claudio Bernardes, they always take care to do not mischaracterize it.

In the covered area, Anna Luiza created a cantilevered planter to hide some of the neighboring buildings, but taking care to leave the view of both the Lagoon and Christ the Redeemer unobstructed. On the left side of the terrace, an office was installed so that the resident can contemplate the garden through the windows while working. In this way, the landscaping enters the apartment. The floor is made of granite, the pool deck is made of cumaru wood and the colors follow the original design pattern.
