The scene of many arrivals and departures , the old terminal of Salgado Filho International Airport , in Porto Alegre, will be the new headquarters of CASACOR RS 2024 , the largest architecture, design and landscaping exhibition in the Americas. The event, which moves the segment by presenting new ideas and trends in housing, takes place this year from September 6th to November 3rd , and will revamp the 1953 building with works signed by big names in regional architecture. The exhibition will occupy 5,400 m2 of the ground floor of the building, where the large panel " The Conquest of Space " is located, painted by Aldo Locatelli , in partnership with the other two Italian artists, Emílio Sessa and Attílio Pisoni. The 50 m2 work will be appreciated by the people of Rio Grande do Sul who visit the approximately 45 spaces planned by the local organizers of the event. In addition to residential spaces, CASACOR RS will have a restaurant and bar to serve the public during the months of the event. " CASACOR RS's 33-year history is recognized for occupying important buildings in Porto Alegre and giving new meaning to these spaces. For many decades, the old airport terminal was part of the routine of both residents and travelers who experienced so many moments there.
