Pedro Ariel Santana , architect, journalist and curator of CASACOR , has just launched, in partnership with Coral , his newest book, A Casa Original , whose title is also the theme of this year's exhibitions in Brazil. The work was created based on from an extensive trend research that began in 2019, during which Pedro Ariel detected people's desire for architecture that provided relaxation, peace and a simpler life. “I started researching architects and designers who are inspired by their ancestry to create contemporary projects that are also rooted in the past. I discovered incredible work, including that of interior designers who look to the land and culture of their region as a source of inspiration for their creations. . Finally, a new search through my photo collection revealed that I already had images of model vernacular houses, all of which inspired the contemporary and original projects that are the main reason for the book.” Check out how the launch night went:
The book features 31 contemporary architecture and interior design projects that address themes such as ancestry, local culture and vernacular architecture as sources of inspiration, the vast majority of which are CASACOR spaces in Brazil – two of which are from the exhibition in Peru. In the first part, The publication presents eight model houses that serve as inspiration for this type of project, such as the Provençal house, the Tuscan house, the Scandinavian house and the Brazilian colonial house. The book A Casa Original is now on sale on the UniSaber Livraria website and can be purchased via the link: https://www.unisaberlivraria.com.br/a-casa-originalAncestral colors: an exclusive palette created by Pedro Ariel Santana for Tintas Coral To celebrate the launch of the book A Casa Original , Pedro Ariel Santana also teamed up with Tintas Coral to create an exclusive palette: 100 colors from the brand's range were selected to inspire professionals in all types of projects .
