This edition is one of those with the most emphasis on landscaping, since
most of the spaces are concentrated in the open areas of Palácio das Mangabeiras . Nãna Guimarães returns to the exhibition with the task of continuing the
process of restoring the gardens designed by Burle Marx , while Droysen Tomich took on the challenge of restoring the Palace's original fountain, also designed by Burle Marx. In addition to returning to operation after several years of inactivity, it also received a
stunning landscaping project . On two stone levels, it is based on a water mirror with aquatic species and is in the middle of a rich
garden that involves shades of purple and green , among dracaenas, marantas, asparagus, boa constrictors, peperoneas, beehives, ferns and variety of species that fill it.
Rafael Mineiro e Natália Azevedo - Horto Laguna. O espaço externo é um pequeno oásis, que traz diversidade de plantas tropicais em torno de um lago natural e propõe um novo conceito de piscina. Com leds submersos nas águas, em meio a palmeiras, filodendros, ciclantos, marantas e plantas aquáticas ganham uma iluminação difusa e a companhia de peixes ornamentais. Natália Azevedo , from Horto dos Buritis, innovated by building a natural pool, which resembles a lake.
Felipe Fontes proposed a garden with native, low-maintenance species and
Katiene Rodrigues invested in a sustainable garden.
Valter Braga abused orchids, creating a low flowering forest, bringing together
380 specimens of the species .
2. New visiting circuit
If you were at CASACOR Minas in 2019, you must remember the excitement of entering Palácio das Mangabeiras for the first time. In 2021, the exhibition returns to the same exhibition location, but in a new format.
Surprises are guaranteed, as the place is the same, but everything is different – including the visiting circuit.

As most of the spaces are located in the external areas of the palace, an open-air space with more than 12 thousand square meters in area, there was a significant investment in
innovative construction techniques , capable of optimizing time and offering
a reduction in environmental impacts . To ensure security and control public access,
visits must be scheduled at a fixed time . Furthermore, a new technology allows visitors to access the exhibition without any type of contact, accessing the event through an
electronic turnstile that is capable of facial recognition registered on the internet when purchasing a ticket.
Cristina Menezes - Espelho D’Água e Mini Pavilhão. O projeto traz uma criativa releitura da configuração das casas romanas da Antiguidade transportada para módulos independentes do tipo contêiners, em uma brincadeira geométrica que os une por uma pérgula central. Cozinha, living, escritório e banheiro, e quarto são rodeados por um espelho d’água e têm fechamentos e toldos que descem até o chão. Gastronomy has always been one of the highlights of CASACOR Minas , very faithfully reflecting the relationship that people from Minas Gerais have with the kitchen. This edition is no different: the exhibition has increasingly expanded its connection with gastronomic culture, promoting the sector, placing itself at the forefront of trends. The person responsible for the curation and gastronomic design of this edition is the award-winning Italian chef
Massimo Bataglini , who together with
Henrique Benerick , from Benericks, is in charge of Outland, an open-air bar and restaurant, which combines good gastronomy, an extensive menu of cocktails and of course good design.
Antônio Valladares, Joana Hardy e Tereza do Prado - Casa Tereze - Restaurante Outland “Al Mare”. O restaurante alegre, muito charmoso e colorido, foi pensado como um espaço de celebração e encontros. Os profissionais criaram as cerâmicas, executadas pelo Ateliê da Vila, tanto as utilitárias, como as luminárias. No teto, cabos de aço esticados recebem sedas em várias padronagens, como se fossem flâmulas. Também multicoloridos, retalhos de tapetes cobrem o piso. The “Outland Al Mare” restaurant has an architectural design designed by the Casa Tereze office team, offering an exclusive menu and concept inspired by the Adriatic Sea. Among the chef's choices are the
Tuna Roast Beef with fig honey and almonds, melon, watermelon and cucumber and the Bruschetta with raw cod carpaccio . The inspiration for the
Benericks bar , around the pool, designed by Daniel Tavares and Cynthia Vianna, came from Venetian bars, and for this reason, the Negroni will be the main theme and red predominates. The menu will feature an
extensive menu of drinks and antipasti that are part of the Italian aperitifs.
Duo Arquitetos e Droysen Tomich - Café Panini e Jardim Restauro. A arquitetura é mais mediterrânea, com tons neutros e texturas naturais. A unidade da parte interna é dada por um cobogó em adobe, que resgata o tema da mostra, Casa Original. Além de servir para seu uso costumeiro, de ser uma parede vazada, esse cobogó é também utilizado como adega: o recorte de seu diâmetro central é o encaixe perfeito para abrigar uma garrafa, oferecendo a possibilidade de deixá-la em uma temperatura mais baixa. Functional Kitchen , with a project designed by Ivia Maia and Mirlene Sales, which will host a program with small gastronomic events, aimed at closed groups.
4. Security during the visit
Júnior Piacesi - Casa da Serra. Partindo do conceito modular, toda a estrutura metálica é de montagem rápida, encapada por breezes, com placas de cimento no piso e rasgos de luz no teto. Em uma área de 320 m², a opção pelo revestimento de madeira traz conforto visual e acolhimento. É um refúgio para momentos de reclusão e, ao mesmo tempo, funciona como um lar que proporciona acolhimento. Seeking to offer a safe environment for visitors, CASACOR Minas invested in a series of actions and technological devices aimed at ensuring the safety of everyone present. The first of these will be that
visits must be carried out by appointment . The visitor will have the option to choose the desired time slot when purchasing the ticket. In addition to the precise control of visitors within the exhibition, there will also be

Barbara Nobre - Casa Voktum. O projeto privilegia a integração das áreas internas e externas, que estabelecem um diálogo permanente por meio da transparência do vidro do teto e das paredes externas. Logo na entrada, a mesa de jantar com estrutura inspirada nos corredores de castelos góticos é acompanhada por cadeiras que seguem a linha do biodesign. O espaço também abriga uma mini-galeria de arte, apresentando sete telas da série Anjos, de José Roberto Aguilar. O tapete tem design assinado pela arquiteta e o paisagismo é de Valter Braga. The event will feature smart turnstiles, which people can enter through
facial recognition or by presenting a QR Code generated during ticket purchase online. When
purchasing online , visitors must schedule a time to visit the exhibition. Therefore, the system will only release entry within the range specified at the time of purchase. Developed by the company ZK Teco, and marketed by Templuz, this new input technology is compatible with the latest computer vision technology. Furthermore,
the turnstiles are prepared for a high volume of traffic and avoid any type of physical contact and the formation of queues at the ticket office. Another important point is that the exhibition invested heavily in
accessibility , allowing people with disabilities to explore all environments.

Another novelty for this edition is that CASACOR Minas, in partnership with Codemge and the Novus 3D team, developed a
virtual tour of the Palácio das Mangabeiras showing what it was like at the time of its inauguration in 1955. The visit was developed based on of an extensive historical survey, recovering images and data from the original project. All content will be made available to visitors soon, stay tuned!
