From September 7th to 11th, Paris will host Maison & Objet . With over 3,000 exhibitors, the fair brings together the biggest brands and professionals in international design. For the second edition of the year, the space has been organized into colorful hubs and sectors, allowing visitors to navigate more smoothly.

Two hubs divide the fair: MAISON explores 4 different universes where you can find the best decoration and interior solutions for homes organized by style. Meanwhile, at OBJET , seven sectors with the best decorative objects and accessories are organized by product family. https://www.facebook.com/maisonobjetparis/videos/248424942481502/

The designer honored in this edition is Belgian Ramy Fischler. A graduate of ENSCI-Les Ateliers in Paris, the young professional founded his own studio – RF Studio – in 2011. Fischler has a very distinct approach to design and his work has a strong connection to drama: he is currently the set designer for L'Opéra Comique and created the set for Hamlet for the play's season.

According to Maison & Objet ’s announcement, “Rather than focusing on the formal aspects of space or product design, Ramy Fischler prefers to question the value of function: anticipating tomorrow’s behaviors, defining the reason and use of each design, and visualizing the environment in which a piece would be effective. These are the preliminary steps in his creative process.”
