NYCxDESIGN , one of the world’s most anticipated design weeks, returns to New York City for its 11th edition. Running from May 18-25, 2023 , the week features thought-provoking exhibitions, public installations, renowned fairs, and robust programming as a way to celebrate New York City as the world’s design destination. Designers, architects and art lovers take to the city streets to attend events and exhibitions to explore the latest furniture and interiors trends , discover emerging talent and tune into the current discourse on architecture and urbanism.

“Highlighting the strength of New York’s creative economy, the festival is once again convening the industry’s brightest minds to create activations across the city,” said Executive Director Ilene Shaw . NYCxDesign 2023: entenda como será o evento este ano NYCxDESIGN ’s anchor events, taking place at the Javits Center from Sunday the 21st to Tuesday the 23rd, include: ICFF, WantedDesign Manhattan and LightFair , in a robust showcase of the latest design introductions in the hospitality, commercial and residential design sectors.

Across the city, NYCxDESIGN will activate the city’s vibrant design districts with a variety of experiences open to the public. Madison Avenue , one of North America’s premier luxury districts, will launch its inaugural Design Week May 20-25 , led by the Madison Avenue Business Improvement District (BID). The Brooklyn Navy Yard , one of New York City's most iconic innovation hubs, will also open its doors to more than a dozen fashion, furniture and product design studios on May 20 for Design Day at the Yard .

Engagement with local museums has been a hallmark of the festival for many years. This season, attendees will have the opportunity to explore exhibitions at the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) , the Museum of Arts and Design (MAD) , the Noguchi Museum, the Guggenheim Museum, and the Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum, covering a variety of topics ranging from broad discussions about how to design equitable cities to deep dives into the ephemeral phenomenon of paper fashion in the 1960s.
