Merimekko and his prints occupy an apartment in Brera. Four rooms were decorated with fabrics that bear the trademark of this company that has been around for over 60 years. I'm talking about the intense colors and memorable designs distributed in the living room, kitchen, dining room and bedroom, along with furniture from partners like Artek. I spoke to Anna Teurnell, creative director of the Finnish brand, and she said that her desire, when decorating that apartment, was to create spaces that seemed inhabited and full of pleasures, to the touch and to the eye. I really wanted to live in Anna Teurnell's living room... (Via Palermo, 8). See more articles from Milan Design Week 2016 by clicking here !
