At SP-Arte , which takes place from April 6 to 9, Etel Carmona and Carlos Vergara will jointly launch an exclusive collection that seeks to transcend the boundaries between art and design. The project has been called the Artist's Cabinet of Curiosity. Vergara worked directly at the ETEL factory and created small monotypes inspired by scarves that are part of the furniture created by the designer. The reliquaries in the form of screens and boxes were produced from photos and engravings of places the artist had visited and are designed to tell stories and cross material and artistic boundaries. The result of this interaction are pieces that reflect the appreciation of artisanal work and the creative process. ETEL will exhibit its pieces on the 3rd floor of the Bienal Pavilion. In addition to the line in partnership with Carlos Vergara, the brand will also launch reissues of furniture designed by Lina Bo Bardi.
