In Sao Paulo , the Luciana Brito Galeria presents “Eu Escuto”, the second exhibition by Estúdio Campana in the space. The exhibition brings together a new set of works that reinforce the Campana DNA and, above all, reflects the production of Humberto Campana two years after the death of his brother and co-founder. “Eu Escuto”, in this way, rescues the memory of Fernando Campana, in a tribute that celebrates his legacy and refers to the beginning of the duo’s trajectory.

More than 20 works make up the exhibition in the gallery's Modernist Room , in a dialogue with the space that evokes Brazilian identity . Vernacular knowledge and artisanal techniques have been precious elements for the Campanas' research, and are revisited here by Humberto Campana, who remains faithful to the essence of materials such as bamboo, terracotta and iron , and gives them a more spiritualized perspective, pointing towards a new creative moment. Earth is the guiding material of the “Eu Escuto” exhibition, used in the vast majority of works, such as in the “Totem” collection, composed of the pieces “Buco” (2023), Boca (2024), Papila (2024) and Faringe (2024), which refer to shamans and divinities. They represent the encounter with the sacred and, historically, symbolize ancestry and spirituality , in addition to affirming the interdependence of human beings with nature.

Using a combination of earth and plant fiber , the adobe technique – which carries the tradition of manual work and popular wisdom – was applied by Estúdio Campana in the utilitarian pieces “Console Figueira” (2023), “Estante Paineira” (2023) and “Armário Adobe” (2024). Bamboo, another essential material in Brazilian vernacular culture , is once again used by Estúdio Campana. A versatile, resistant and easily accessible material, bamboo appears in a new arrangement of weaves in the new “Faquir” collection, consisting of the “Faquir Shelf” (2024) and “Faquir Bench” (2024), with an airy texture that allows light to pass through. The exhibition also features the bamboo and aluminum lamp, “Chandelier Umburuçu” (2024).

The series “Folhas de Bronze” (2014) and “Animais Híbridos” (2017), solo works by Fernando Campana , were produced during the prototyping period of collections with the theme of hybridism carried out in the studio, and which represent the artist's creative independence. On this occasion, the gallery's collection will also feature two works by Instituto Campana, “Coração Coroado” (2024) and “Anel de Capacho” (2017-2024), re-released in a commemorative edition of Estúdio Campana's 40th anniversary.
