There were 30 days of exhibition, six locations and 22 containers; but this Monday the Janelas CASACOR Minas Gerais edition came to an end. The exhibition brought to Belo Horizonte an interpretation of the post-pandemic home of the architects, designers and landscapers of the CASACOR cast , in the form of display windows that open up to a new way of living. There was no shortage of inspiration at the event, which set decoration trends for all types of spaces. Below, we have selected the 5 most striking ones that you cannot miss. Check them out!

1. Traditional Minas Gerais cuisine

01/02 - Viva Cozinha - Paula Guimarães. Paula Guimarães's space plays with concepts that refer to the current moment. First, because it is a place where people have rediscovered possible pleasures during quarantine. In addition, it is a lively and vibrant environment that sharpens the senses. (Jomar Bragança)

02/02 - Barista Kitchen - Cynthia Silva and Estúdio Mineral. The space was created with the aim of producing content about the world of gastronomy and coffee, which are so important in the culture of Minas Gerais. It brings the identity of the region's traditional cuisine, reliving its history from a contemporary perspective. (Jomar Bragança)

Everyone already knows that Minas Gerais cuisine is a true national treasure. To represent this important piece of Brazilian culture, the kitchens at Janelas CASACOR sought inspiration from traditional cuisine . From there, they imported the vintage feel of the decor, which here was renovated by modern elements.

01/04 - Casa Raízes - Barbara Nobre. In this mini loft, Barbara Nobre was inspired by the sensitivity of the moment. She reflects on the current amplified contact with the home, while at the same time conveying the need for each person to think about their roots, reconnecting with their own history and local culture. Based on the idea that everyone now wants to feel welcomed, the environment gained natural elements such as linen, wood in lighter tones, and the affection of popular art and genuinely Brazilian products, which create a connection with the essence of each person. 03/04 - Home Office - Carol Horta. In 2020, the home office became an essential space in the home: work, classes, meetings, live streams and happy hours; the order is to go virtual. Carol Horta's project prioritized contemporary designer furniture, works of art, colors and textures that serve the lighting and vice versa. (Jomar Bragança)

04/04 - Living Together - Marina Diniz. The project proposes the integration of the living room and dining room, combining comfort and design in the right measure. In the living room, a large linen sofa, also used for the Zanini armchair and pouf by Zanine, all contrasted with the green shade Montanha Infinita, by Coral, on the walls. (Jomar Bragança)

A quick and easy way to transform a space is by painting the walls a striking color . In the exhibition, the captivating tones dictated the atmosphere of the decor, in addition to giving much more life to the lofts, home offices and living rooms.

In four showcases, Isabela Vecci summarizes the most valuable aspects of one of the pillars of Italian industry, with a selection of iconic design pieces that showcase the excellence and intimate relationship between Italian industry and culture. 02/03 - Modernist Gallery - Fernanda Villefort. In a metal frame box enclosed by glass panels, the space/gallery displays large-format photographs, delicately suspended by steel cables, in a rhythmic fashion. 03/03 - Feet on the Ground - Sebrae/MG - Andréa Medeiros and Francisco Morais. Based on the principle that showcases are also windows shaped to attract our gaze, the environment gives a humanized conformation to the work of artisans from Minas Gerais. The floor was covered in sand. In the space, everything is designed by local designers and artists. (Jomar Bragança)

Here, the idea is to make people think . Taking the concept as a guiding principle, the projects start from an idea, which the professionals transform into architecture. The spaces are disruptive, almost scenographic, and provoke reflections on modern living.

01/03 - Natural Refuge - Mutabile Arquitetura. With a strong presence of natural elements, such as the landscaping designed by André Orsini, the space by Isabel Brant and Gabriel Souza forges a water mirror from different sizes of mirrors, framed by a wooden deck. (Jomar Bragança)

02/03 - Bathroom - Deca Space - Ana Paula Paolinelli. By associating the bathroom with an external living room, the idea is to bring this intimate space to a more contemplative and comprehensive use. 03/03 - 360º Garden Showcase - Carol Quinan. The project presents a meticulous selection of ornamental seedlings, with resistant and rare sculptural pieces of Nolina, better known as Elephant's Foot, and Texas Grass, composing a contemporary and exuberant landscaping. (Jomar Bragança)

Bringing nature indoors is the strongest architectural trend of recent years. Proof of this are vertical gardens , which have popped up in all types of interior design. The idea is to use pots and plants of all types to bring life to the decor. and improve the quality of life of those who live there.

About CASACOR Windows


The CASACOR Windows exhibition is an initiative by CASACOR that emerged as a response to the public health crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The project transformed the concerns of this moment into showcases that reflect the shape of the post-pandemic home and point out trends in the new home. The result of this creative exercise is on display in 10 Brazilian cities in the form of containers – reaffirming CASACOR ’s sustainable policy and, at the same time, promoting an inclusive, free and safe exhibition; integrating the community of people passionate about the home’s universe and bringing inspiration. to new places from north to south of the country.
