The first
collab in the history of
Tânia Bulhões celebrates the centenary of the
Copacabana Palace , a hotel in the Belmond Hotel group: the result is an exclusive collection of tableware, which pays homage to the irreverence of Rio's landscapes and the city's main tourist attractions.
The pieces were developed through an artistic process by Tania Bulhões – founder and creative director of the
tableware and perfumery brand – and were inspired by the classic French
toile de jouy print, which consists of drawings that describe country life. However, the launches also gained a touch of the essence of Rio de Janeiro, portraying typical scenes of Rio de Janeiro, such as Corcovado, the sea, the vegetation and the traditional Copacabana boardwalk. And, of course, also the image of the Copacabana façade.
“This is a very important collection for the brand, and besides being our first
collaboration , it is a partnership that endorses a historic moment. In this regard, the creative process was challenging, but there was no shortage of references, since Rio is an inspiring city and the hotel is full of stories and memories,” says Tania Bulhões.
The set includes a variety of pieces:
bowls, plates – flat, deep and dessert –, tea and coffee cups and placemats . In addition to the dishes, the brand has also created an unusual item to complement your home decor or to be used on beaches in Brazil: an
exclusive surfboard with the collection's print. The item is limited. Only five units will be produced, which will be displayed in the brand's main stores.
The collection is available to consumers in the
brand's flagship stores and website, and also in the pop-up that was set up inside the Copacabana Palace.
