Brazilian Room pays tribute to national design at CASACOR RS 2019
Architect Caroline Kreling designed the Brazilian Room at CASACOR Rio Grande do Sul 2019. The professional was inspired by Brazilian design to create a modern space with personality. The color palette with earthy tones was inspired by native tree seeds, bringing neutrality and lightness to the space where the Pau Ferro tropical wood fireplace stands out. The center top is made with natural rock bran, while the brass cubes gained natural straw finish, finishing off the attention. The Sala Brasileira has a rhythm as smooth as Bossa Nova. The space is free from clichés and combines well-known pieces of national design, such as the Bola de Latão armchair by Lina Bo Bardi , with contemporary items from the new generation, such as the Labirinto sideboard. from the Nothing Takes studio. “We sought to unite cutting-edge design with the new, and we discovered that the passage of time unites the two styles much more than it separates them, reaffirming that quality design transcends generations and becomes increasingly valued,” explains the architect. In every corner of the room, signed pieces take center stage: the Cantante lamp, by Claudia Moreira Sales, the Pós Tropical vases, by Guilherme Wentz, vases from the Sólidos and Mole series, by Heloisa Galvão Studio, the Curvo sofa, by Danilo Lopes and Paula Gontijo, the Lens coffee table, by Estudio Bola, and the Dora sofa, the Elle sideboard and the Easy stools, all by Jader Almeida. Works of art also enhance the space with Brazilian flair. At the entrance to the room, there is an iconic image of Lina Bo Bardi with her creative brain exposed in the work of Walmor Corrêa. Drawings by Oscar Niemeyer complete the modernist atmosphere of the room in which they are also located. the work of Xadalú, floating above the sideboard, the sculpture Cabeça, by Paula Juchem and the painting by Paulo Pasta.
