At the luxury department store Harrods in London,
Prada has just opened its café covered in the brand's signature green hue. The café's
décor is inspired by the interior of
Pasticceria Marchesi , a pastry shop opened in 1824 that features light green interiors paired with green velvet upholstered furniture.
A large marble countertop and pebble-textured panels are located at the entrance to the café and are used to display the brand's
confectioneries , which are presented as
individual pieces of jewelry .
The floors of the space were covered in black and
white checkered tiles in a tribute to the floors of the brand's boutique located in Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, in Milan.
Tableware selected specifically for the café ranges from blue-toned
Japanese porcelain – inspired by ancient Celadon ceramics and decorated with contrasting black lines – to
blown glass crystals . The cafe will remain at Harrods in London until
January 2024. During
Milan Fashion Week 2023 , Prada presented its Fall Winter 2023 collection in the Deposito of the Fondazione Prada, which featured a movable and retractable roof.
