With three suites and
196 m² , this apartment in Itaim (SP) was recently renovated and purchased by a couple who live in Rio de Janeiro and spend part of the week working in the capital of São Paulo. Interior designer
Paola Ribeiro – a member of
CASACOR Rio and
São Paulo – thought of a project that
had a Carioca soul, with a neutral base in beige tones and occasional natural colors and textures. “In the living room, we complemented the TV’s wood panel and placed a marble top over the existing sideboard and dining table. The corner that is now a
bar with woodwork for the
wine cellar was an office that had no function for the couple living there,” says the professional.
On the
balcony , in addition to the glass enclosure, the window frame for the living room was changed to integrate the space with the living room. The wooden deck and landscaping bring more coziness to the social area. The furniture pieces designed by Brazilian designers create an elegant atmosphere.
For the
kitchen , in addition to the new carpentry, the office specified striped wallpaper, a bench and leather chairs to create a room with the feel of a dining room.
The bathroom has the same flooring as the living room – tauari wood –, as well as wallpaper and a mirror.
“The shelf in the hallway leading to the bedrooms holds the owner’s favorite objects and provides space to display the colorful painting by artist
Mucki , which the client loves,” says Paola.
Finally, the master suite was extended to the balcony, gaining more distance between the bed and the TV stand and a large window providing more natural light into the room.
As the client wanted to have a soaking tub, but the bathroom was too small for this, the fixtures were moved to install
a bathtub with a sloping backrest made of Silestone Pearl Jasmine, the same material used on the floor and countertop with a sculpted basin.
