Former residents of the region, a couple and their young daughter were looking for a larger space in Vila Romana, in São Paulo, with
a better distribution of rooms to accommodate family and friends more comfortably. So, they commissioned architect
Pietro Terlizzi to renovate a 187
m² apartment with cozy, practical and sophisticated spaces. (Guilherme Pucci/CASACOR)
The social area – especially the
kitchen – has been highlighted in the new layout. One of the family's favorite
hobbies is cooking, so the renovation prioritized
expanding the space , integrating the kitchen with the balcony with a barbecue area right next to it, leaving space for a generous
dining room for daily meals.

The highlight here is the
7-meter-long stone countertop, which creates visual unity between the two spaces. The kitchen also has a small
vegetable garden , to always ensure fresh and natural food.
The dining room and living room were also integrated, providing spaciousness, valuing
natural light at all times of the day, ensuring
thermal comfort and allowing
cross circulation . The service area and the social area were separated by a diagonal door, made of metalwork.

With a timeless style, the project combines
natural materials , such as brick and wood, with contemporary materials, such as glass and metal. In all the spaces, the colors gray, blue and white dominate.
