Vibrant colors, contrasting textures, varied prints and lots (and lots of them) objects: this is the recipe for creating a
maximalist environment . In the opposite direction of
minimalism , maximalism enhances the strength and expressive capacity of environments through the use of elements that may seem disconnected, but that actually make perfect sense when they are together. Paintings, books, curtains, rugs, cushions, vases, works of art and even striking floor and wall coverings, such as marble, are essential elements of
décor .
All of this, of course, is done in great taste and – it is worth noting – in large quantities . Discover the
maximalist environments of CASACOR 2022 below!
Marcelo Salum - Casa Coral. Projeto da CASACOR São Paulo 2022. (Denilson Machado/CASACOR)
Marcelo Salum chose to pay homage to the work of Attilio Baschera and Gregorio Kramer, designers who revolutionized textile production in Brazil in the 1970s. "They created fabric prints inspired by our culture, roots and, above all, nature," he says. The couple's collection, including drawings and a piano, contains the most valuable items in the space.
(Gabriela Daltro/CASACOR)

Exotic stones arranged on the floor in an
unconventional layout welcome visitors to the 80 m² living room designed by
Sig Bergamin . Special shades of orange and blue fill the palette and create contrast with the ironwood pattern present in the woodwork.

Benches made of exotic ornamental rocks make up this 120
m2 loft designed by
Murilo Lomas . The space proposes a renewal of the collection of works of art throughout the exhibition. Among the names chosen to decorate the space with a gallery atmosphere are Janaina Tschäpe, Nuno Ramos and Franz Ackermann.
