Not long ago,
laundry rooms were often overlooked in architectural and interior design projects because they were not social spaces. However, in recent years, this has been changing and
laundry areas have started to receive the attention they deserve. After all, having this space well organized and planned is a comfort and makes daily tasks much easier. Furthermore, creating a
cozy atmosphere in the laundry room even makes it possible to integrate it with other rooms in the house. The
CASACOR 2024 exhibitions proved this. Take advantage of the fact that the year is just beginning and get inspired by
10 well-designed laundry room projects of different sizes . Who knows, maybe you'll be inspired to renovate your home?
Tradition and technology
The washerwomen of Itapuã received a special tribute and inspired the project by
Brisa Bessa and
Danilo Lopes at
CASACOR Bahia . History and tradition dialogue with contemporaneity. To represent the future, the space features the technology of the Stack washing machine and the electric dryer, which reduce washing time and energy and water
consumption . The goal was to create a welcoming and calm environment, reminiscent of the waters of Salvador, emphasizing the importance of caring for the environment in all of our daily actions.
Custom laundry
At
CASACOR São Paulo ,
Letícia Nannetti presented a laundry room with a living room atmosphere in a 35 m² space. The charming details welcome those who dedicate themselves to taking care of their home routine with comfort and technology. “Our space rescues and values the culture of Minas Gerais as a treasure to be exalted and protected,” says the architect. In its design, it brings together
natural materials , art, history and handcrafted pieces from ancient knowledge and crafts such as looms, embroidery and ceramics.
Assemble it yourself

How about adding a touch of
color to the laundry room wall and making the space more charming? Also, invest in accessories to keep everything organized. Around the
home center , you will find shelves, fabric baskets for clothes, containers for soap and fabric softener, organizers, hangers and plastic containers.
Condominium laundry
(André Nazareth / CASACOR)
Measuring just 26 m², this studio underwent renovations designed by architects Lucas Blaia and Bruno Moura, from
Blaia e Moura Arquitetos, who came up with
creative solutions for such a compact property. Unlike many current studios, this one has a laundry room: the washer and dryer are completely
hidden when not in use. Above it, on the wall, the professionals even thought of a little corner to house the resident's plants.
In neutral tones
Designed by architect
Fabiano Ravaglia from FPR Studio, this laundry room made the most of every inch of space to make it practical for the family living in this apartment. The professional opted for a palette of
gray tones and created a floor-to-ceiling cabinet on one of the walls, which can be used to store brooms and mops, as well as cleaning products. He also created a large countertop to make tasks easier.
Minimum space
(Luiza Schreier / CASACOR)
Designed by architect
Rodolfo Consoli , this 25 m²
micro-apartment was designed to provide all the comforts needed for a small space. The color blue predominates in the coverings and brings a fresh atmosphere to the rooms. In the
kitchen , a washer and dryer were installed in the cabinetry, next to the microwave, without visually overwhelming the décor.
Integrated laundry
(André Nazareth / CASACOR)
In this apartment designed by architect
Ana Neri , the laundry room was integrated into the
home office after the
renovation . “This back of the apartment brought us some pleasant surprises, which only improved the spatial and aesthetic quality. One of them was the possibility of completely opening up what was previously a service room in the original plan and transforming it into an office. Without a doubt, this change allowed for the expansion, the breathing space and the integration of the office with the service area, which is super bright and airy,” explains the professional.
Blue laundry
(Sjoerd Eickmans/ Vtwonen / CASACOR)
One way to think about the aesthetics of your laundry room is to choose a color and work it into various elements. Here, the blue tone colors the woodwork and the curtain used to hide the washing machines and dryers. In addition, the covering chosen for the front of the counter follows the same palette. Small, well-planned laundry room
There are many charming details in this
small laundry room , starting with the dark gray painted
wall , which adds a touch of style to the decor. Also note the minimalist overhead cabinet, used to store cleaning products, irons and other equipment. Below the counter, laundry baskets and a washer and dryer complete the space, which is compact but very organized.
