For some professionals, CASACOR is an opportunity to challenge themselves and showcase the best of their work to the public, innovate and introduce trends to the market. The homes designed especially for the show are the product of the greatness of the event's partners, who are able to build a complete, functional and stylish residence in just a few weeks. Dado Castello Branco's proposal for CASACOR São Paulo 2018 was to create a contemporary home made of wood and concrete, inspired by the townhouses of Amsterdam and London.

The multifunctional spaces feature openings to nature and, in addition to certified materials and a fast-to-build metal structure, the space also has a green roof that helps with thermal comfort. The automation of lighting and sound helps save energy. The furniture includes pieces designed by Dado himself, items signed by Jader Almeida and items selected from antique shops. The certified wood flooring was made exclusively for the exhibition.

Casa do Relógio is a 283 m² building with two floors, practical, welcoming and made for people who enjoy art, cuisine, wine and the outdoors.

A large bookcase frames the helical staircase in the living room, which gives access to the suite on the second floor. In the master bath, natural marble was replaced by ariostea synthesized stone, which is more resistant, does not stain or scratch. Outside, the deck made of ecological wood is accompanied by the landscaping project designed by Rodrigo Oliveira.

Arthur Casas - SysHaus // CASACOR Sao Paulo

Arthur Casas presented the SysHaus modular system in its pre-launch at CASACOR São Paulo 2018. The technology developed by his office made it possible to build a high-standard home in less than a month, with practically zero waste and water consumption. Each part of the project was designed exclusively based on needs and specifications, in an extremely efficient and functional way, without debris and with reduced execution time.

With 200 m², the structure of pillars, beams and steel screws requires no foundation and concreting. Everything is fitted, from the floor to the lining. Around 90% of the components come from the factory to order. Furthermore, 100% of the materials used are recyclable, and there is a green roof, which naturally contributes to thermal and acoustic comfort, giving maximum respect to nature in all construction processes.

Generous openings allow ventilation and natural light to permeate the house, reducing energy consumption for lighting and air conditioning. The furniture was designed in modules, meaning that, like the structure of the house, it can be assembled in another location.

Other pieces of furniture, utilities, finishes and even accessories, such as jewelry, were designed by Arthur in partnership with large national companies and industries – most of the pieces are new releases. The landscaping of the house is by Renata Tilli, who chose species that adapt to the climate of any region.

The construction method will also be marketed including sustainable everyday practices. All SysHaus homes will be equipped with: a rainwater collection and reuse mechanism; a biodigestion system, which transforms organic waste into gas for use in the fireplace and kitchen, and into fertilizer for use in the garden or vegetable patch; and sockets for electric vehicles. Customers can also opt for photovoltaic panels, which, through their intelligent monitoring system, make maximum use of solar energy. It is estimated that the construction will be ready in up to six months, from conception to delivery of the keys.

With 201 m²,the building facilitates circulation between the spaces, without any type of barrier. The wooden furniture and greenish tones bring the visitor even closer to nature, which is integrated into the space.

In the outdoor area, the 4 m long Unlimited pool attracts the attention of visitors. The relaxed atmosphere is guaranteed by the choice of furniture. Bruno Carvalho explains: “we designed an urban refuge focused on the nature of the place, with a modular layout that values circulation”.

The bedroom, which is located at the back of the room, preserves intimacy and, even so, allows contact with nature, freshness and natural light. The enhancement of the wooden floor gives unity to the refuge.

Natural materials and pastel tones make up the design of the 118 m2 loft. Wood is the key piece and is present in its different shapes and tones, including in the trees that are integrated into the environment.
