Located in Asa Norte, an upscale neighborhood in Brasília, this
290 m² duplex penthouse was renovated by the
Morada 31.12 office – part of
CASACOR Brasília – to meet the expectations of a young couple, who wanted a home with
an industrial style , a
glass pool and different spaces to receive friends and family.
The project's premise was to
reuse the wooden floors, as well as the original doors and frames , in respect of preserving the history of this apartment, which dates back to the 1980s, coincidentally, when the residents were born.
“Mixed with
concrete, metal and exposed lighting elements that we included in the proposal, we obtained an unusual result with a lot of personality”, says architect
Mariana Leal , head of the Morada 31.12 office.
The
kitchen was completely open to integrate with the dining and living rooms and received carpentry with few cabinets, highlighting the industrial aesthetic.
On the upper floor, a spacious TV room with a metalwork panel serves both residents and visitors. A fully retractable hinged door divides the enclosed area from the outside, expanding the spaces and allowing for full integration between the spaces.
The
glass pool is the highlight of the outdoor area and has tropical landscaping around its entire perimeter, bringing privacy and freshness to the rooftop, which looks more like an oasis in the middle of the city.
The
barbecue has a large support bench and a wooden deck , which serves as a grandstand so that visitors can watch games and films in the open area.
