The Pergola Corridor at the Copacabana Palace has been given a new look. The project is a partnership between the Arnaldo Danemberg Antiques Shop and the architect Maurício Nobrega, who used period furniture in a building reminiscent of a work environment. To achieve this, the professionals opted for furniture that evokes their craft. Large trunks were set up as coffee tables and stacked, combined with a Portuguese chest of drawers from a carpentry school and a 19th-century convent table. Orlean fabrics complete the space, along with molds of Portuguese tannery machinery, transformed into lampshades, and French armchairs from the 1930s. To celebrate this event, Arnaldo Danemberg and Belmond Copacabana Palace organized a luncheon on July 22 to inaugurate the new decor of the Corredor da Pérgula. On the occasion, the hotel's award-winning bartender, Rodrigo Mello, developed three exclusive signature drink options. The public can now check out the new ambiance of the space up close.
