Having an inspiring space that brings good feelings is essential, even better when the colors reflect elegance and comfort. To achieve this, investing in a palette with neutral colors is a good bet and the cast of CASACOR São Paulo this year knew very well how to create surprising environments even using shades with less saturation. Social isolation has caused many people to spend more time at home, leading to a series of reflections on living and inhabiting. Neutral colors ended up being smart choices for those who wanted to find spaces for work, concentration, meditation and rest in their homes. All of this, often, is spread across a few or the same rooms. Although it's easier to combine them, neutral colors walk a fine line between "boring" and "surprising" – so betting on contrasts, shapes andtextures is what will determine which side the room will fall on. This year's cast gave a lesson on how to transform neutral spaces into true works of art. Below, we've selected 7 spaces to inspire you ! 1. Noah Room - Gregory Copello
Gregory Copello - Quarto Noah. Just looking at it makes you want to meditate and retreat into the Noah Room , a space created by Gregory Copello , which made its unforgettable debut at CASACOR SP this year. The architect presents a peaceful environment that invites you to connect with yourself. Neutral colors were essential to create this more harmonious and relaxing atmosphere. 2. LIGHT HOUSE - Gustavo Martins

Scandinavian decor is uniquely reflected in Gustavo Martins'
CASA Å LEVE . The use of textures was of utmost importance to make the composition light and cozy, such as the combination of stones and wood, which refer to something from the beginning of humanity and therefore rescue the relationship between man and the environment.
3. Kairos Space - Erica Salguero
(Renato Navarro/CASACOR)
Kairós is the name of the Greek god of opportune time - the one that is based on moments of relaxation and happiness - and this was the inspiration for
Érica Salguero to create the environment exhibited at CASACOR this year. Neutral and bright colors were chosen to compose a space that prioritizes the senses, well-being, bringing a true reflection on the quality of life of the inhabitants in the post-pandemic times.
4. Organic Breath - Caio Bandeira and Tiago Martins
Using shades of gray combined with natural materials is a good way to innovate with neutral colors and create a space full of style and personality. At
Sopro Orgânico , a space designed by
Caio Bandeira and Tiago Martins , the choice of fluted marble in contrast with the wood brings a cosmopolitan and urban touch that is striking and very modern.
5. Portinari Comforts - Très Architecture
Aconchegos Portinari - Très Arquitetura (MCA Estudio/CASACOR)
Très Arquitetura stole the show with its neutral environment. The architects chose a series of light earthy colors that harmonized very well with each other. The secret was
to bet on different shapes and finishes that brought more dynamism to the project . On the upper part, vases of different sizes work together to create a more casual feel, while the supreme open shelf runs throughout the space, offering versatility and a unique design.
6. Casa LG ThinQ - Estudio Guto Requena

Light wood is a neutral finish that adds comfort and sophistication to any space. In the bedroom, bringing this type of material brings nature into the space and gives the resident all the comfort they desire.

7. Sala Bayac - Studio Costa Azevedo

The architect duo
Josemar Costa Jr and André Azevedo were inspired by home office models to create a space that functions as a library, reading room and family gathering place. To achieve this, the use of neutral colors was also a smart strategy to allow more focus on reading and relationships rather than just on the space. Furthermore, the duo innovated with some textures that brought more personality to the environment.
