Although colorful spaces and pieces bring identity and relaxation to a home, investing in the classic duo of architecture and design – black and white – is the easiest way to avoid taking risks and decorate any room with sophistication. Discover three spaces from Casa Cor São Paulo 2015 that bring this inspiration.
1. Family Space
The integration of the living room, gourmet space and balcony is not only due to the proximity of the spaces: the predominant colors chosen by architect Francisco Calio, black and white, make the rooms even more cozy, reinforcing the idea of encouraging coexistence between residents. Minimalism – a characteristic present in the professional's work – gives the layout just the right amount of luxury.
1.1 The infallible black and white duo is not only present in furniture. Decorative objects such as the painting by Fabiana Gabas Kallás and the kilin rug by By Kamy also rely on the eternal beauty of the black and white combination.
2. Todeschini Pavilion
The 400m2 space – with a dining room, living room, bedroom, among others – is almost entirely based on a mix of pieces that contrast black and white. Architect Guilherme Torres shows that he is in tune with another strong trend: geometric design, as seen in the striking By Kamy rug that covers the entire living room.
2.1 The Corian chair, with its black and white graphic design, belongs to the Loos line, designed by Guilherme Torres and launched at Casa Cor 2015, and is divided between utilitarian design and artistic design. The centerpiece also reinforces the power of the black and white pieces.
3. PB House
Architect and designer Léo Shetman prioritizes simple geometric shapes and monochrome – in this case, the use of black and white. This combination predominates in practically every room in the house, such as the elegant bathroom, covered in calacatta marble, which is integrated into the bedroom.
3.1 The living room also explores the neutral base in all its furniture, which gains even more prominence and nobility for being in an environment with discreet finishes, such as the porcelain floor.
