In a 71 m² loft, where he traced a timeline from prehistoric times, architect Renan Altera exhibited examples of humanity's architectural legacy at CASACOR São Paulo . Textures reminiscent of caves, arches from ancient Rome, stained glass windows from the Middle Ages and even neoclassical symmetry in the kitchen dialogue with homages and reinventions of elements from different eras and traditions. In the area reserved for the bathroom , voluminous plants make up a true urban forest around the bathtub, ensuring privacy and a fresh atmosphere.

Regional incentives

Caroline Gomes and Renan Saturnino brought their family origins to the bathroom project they designed for CASACOR Bahia . They told the stories of their grandparents and parents in detail that captured the public's attention, such as the sisal ropes used prominently. The material was used in several elements of the project, but the main one is in the suspended installation in the room.

Affectionate bathroom

Paulo Andrade Arq + Design - Memories Bathroom. Project by CASACOR Bahia 2024.

(Xico Diniz/CASACOR)

Childhood experiences, memories and his own origins inspired architect Paulo Andrade to create this bathroom at CASACOR Bahia . Among the innovations he introduced are sound technology and lighting, as well as coverings. Textures and natural elements , as well as earthy and raw tones, reference the Brazilian hinterland , which also brings elements of regional culture and typical of inland cities.

The atmosphere in the studio designed by architect Cadé Marino atCASACOR Rio de Janeiro is welcoming and conducive to well-being. The abundant use of wood – sourced from reforestation –, combined with the use of natural lighting and the strong presence of vegetation are responsible for this. In the bathroom area, integrated into the entire space, the gray ceramics draw attention, dialoguing with the coverings.

In raw state

Sunflower Garden - Cerrado Roots Balcony. CASACOR Rio de Janeiro 2024 Project.

(MCA Estúdio/CASACOR)

This suite is part of a studio designed by architect Natália Lemos with landscaping by the duo Maira Duarte and Kaio Duarte , from Horto Girassol , at CASACOR Rio de Janeiro . Here, time seems to slow down, inviting us to take a deep dive into our origins and ancestry. Earthy tones permeate every corner, bringing a sense of belonging. The rustic wood and clay tiles on the floor convey the simplicity and strength of the cerrado, creating a solid foundation for this return to our roots.

Unusual combination

Elisa Fraga e Guilherme Bussamra - Universo Anacrônico. Projeto da CASACOR Brasília 2024.

The idea behind the space developed by Guel Arquitetos , by Elisa Fraga and Guilherme Bussamra, is to value the unexpected. For this reason, the influence came from post-modernism and the eclectic style. Among the highlights are the way the coverings are applied: ceramic tiles cover the walls and floor and wallpaper is applied to the ceiling.

Soft palette

Wesley Lemos - Deca Esthesis. CASACOR Sergipe 2024 Project.

(Gabriela Daltro/CASACOR)

Wesley Lemos ' project at CASACOR Sergipe features a palette of light tones that soothes and connects us to the present, encouraging practices such as meditation and reading. With touches of nostalgia, this complete home has a bathroom that invites self-care, with cozy textures, lots of plants and natural lighting.

Symbolic elements, such as the tree – representing the seed and the fruits –, the mirror – reflecting our own essence –, and a window facing the sea – signaling the horizon and new possibilities –, are invitations to introspection and self-knowledge.
