Incorporating
modern elements into the bathroom is a big challenge. They can be reflected in the wall and floor coverings - which also need to be resistant since they are always in contact with moisture - in the choice of shower enclosure or in other items that make the space more elegant and innovative. This year's edition of
CASACOR Rio featured impeccable work by big names in architecture, and bathrooms were a highlight. Below, discover the most beautiful bathrooms that set trends and were present at the
Rio edition of the show :
A bathroom designed for relaxation and releasing negative energy was the proposal of Bianca da Hora with
Haman SPA . The architect took advantage of the natural light in the room and played with colors and textures to create the composition. In metals, the cortein finish, by
Deca , gives an air of sophistication that contrasts with the simplicity of the natural stones, linen and furniture in neutral tones.
Architects Beto Figueiredo and Luiz Almeida innovated in their
Deca Bathroom project. With long green curtains combined with classic elements, such as the marble bathroom that would have belonged to Empress Teresa Cristina, the project inspires elegance and refinement. In the center of the space, a jabuticaba tree was planted to bring
nature into the project and plays with the cycle of life, since the water – which seems to come out of the trunk – is also reused for irrigation.
The Guest Suite was designed by
Angela Leite Barbosa and Daniel Marques Mendes . The goal was to create a room with a contrast between the new and the old. The house already had palatial elements, and all of them were preserved. The idea was to include more
minimalist furniture to integrate the décor in a subtle way. The
Portuguese tiles fit well, and also created a perfect connection with the plants on the wall.
Urban Jungle is a strong trend and was not left aside in
Bianca da Hora 's project. The final touch to the space was to include more cave-like plants that bring a true connection with nature during the moment of rest.
Art and architecture have always gone hand in hand, and in this case, in the project by
Estúdio Manu + Ca Manu Cardim + Cataria Gouvêa , this is evident.
Lavado e Galeria , as the name suggests, makes an interesting mix of colors and textures and incorporates beautiful pieces of art for a more playful look that plays with different eras and styles.
Named
Casa UP , the project featured the talent of specialists Michelle Wilkinson, Thiago Morsh and Cadé Marino from
UP3 Arquitetura . With a style that blends Scandinavian and Rio de Janeiro, natural elements such as stone, clay and wood stand out in the composition. It's even better when the project is done sustainably, using
techniques that generate almost no waste . The
neutral tones worked well and gave more prominence to the plantations outside.
