Porcelain is one of the most versatile and popular materials when it comes to bathroom finishes. It is highly resistant to water and easy to clean, in addition to having a wide variety of finishes and textures.

Although traditionally associated with interior design in other projects of the house, wood has been presenting itself as a trend in finishes, especially in the outer areas of the shower or in decorative details, such as niches and countertops. To resist bathroom humidity, wood needs to be properly treated and combined with other waterproof materials.
Combining beauty and versatility, mosaics are an excellent option for creating highlight effects in modern bathrooms. They can be used to cover large surfaces as well as to create decorative details, such as horizontal or vertical strips. Available in various materials, such as glass, ceramics, stone, and even metal, mosaics offer endless combinations.

For a modern bathroom to become a sophisticated project, the combination of finishes plays a fundamental role. The secret is to balance materials with finishes and colors that harmonize with each other, creating a project that is fluid and pleasant. Here are some tips for efficiently combining finishes:
Balanced Contrasts: Using contrasts between light and dark finishes can be a way to add depth and visual interest to the bathroom. For example, a dark porcelain floor can be combined with white subway tiles or metallic mosaics on the walls, creating a play of light and shadow that brings elegance to the space.
Mixing Textures: Another important aspect is the mixing of textures. Bathroom finishes can include a combination of glossy and matte surfaces, creating an interesting and sophisticated effect. A polished porcelain floor can be combined with matte subway tiles or wooden details, bringing a perfect balance between the modern and the cozy.
Neutral Colors with Points of Color: If you prefer a more minimalist style, betting on neutral tones like white, gray, and beige can be an excellent option. To add a touch of personality, add details in more intense colors, such as navy blue, moss green, or even gold, through accessories, niches, or even a finish on a specific wall.
Natural Finishes and Materials: The use of natural materials, such as wood and stone, can be incorporated to create a cozy and sophisticated project. To ensure that these materials remain intact, it is essential to choose high-quality products that are treated to withstand the unique humidity of bathrooms.
