The
Pequi apartment was born from the desire of its residents – a couple with four adult children – to build a light and simple home
that would make room for the essentials . Located in Porto Alegre, the project is by the
Stemmer Rodrigues office.

With
a total area of 138 m² , the apartment revolves around the concept of
welcoming guests in comfort . In this sense, the choice of furniture and the decision to integrate the living room were essential. The
unity of the architectural language can be seen in the color palette and the
carpentry designs throughout the rooms. Windows span the entire apartment, bathing the entire social area in plenty of
natural light .

Another bench in
Pequi wood – which gives the project its name – covers the island that
connects the living rooms and the kitchen . In this area there is also a niche to accommodate the dishwasher, wine cellar and ovens.

In the living rooms,
Brazilian furniture and a palette of dark tones cover the upholstery and flooring. A
table with a long bench and chairs was strategically designed for family gatherings. The
wooden floor was installed in a different way: instead of just covering the floor, it also
goes up the walls to the height of the window sills , creating a feeling of continuity in the space and increasing the amplitude.

In the
master bedroom , the highlight of the project, all the carpentry was designed in detail, as was the choice of colors – such as deep, botanical green and soft tones. In the
layout , the bed was placed facing the view, with its back to a wall that divides the uses of the master suite.
