July has arrived, ushering in a series of events in São Paulo : several exhibitions, films, meetings and shows will debut this month and will liven up the city's cultural scene. Amidst so many possibilities for outings in the capital of São Paulo, CASACOR has prepared a guide with 8 cultural experiences that you can't miss in the city. Check it out!

1. Participate in the Book Fair


Until July 7th , the third edition of the Book Fair is open! More than 150 guests will be present at the literary festival in the capital of São Paulo and will participate in debates and conversations that focus on books. The meetings will promote discussions, lectures and seminars on the highlights of fiction and non-fiction recently produced in Brazil and other countries, such as Argentina, Portugal, France and the United States. 2. Watch "Inside Out 2"


Nine years later, the sequel to one of Pixar's most charismatic works has finally hit Brazilian screens! And in addition to Joy, Sadness, Anger and Disgust, new emotions are brought to the surface in "Inside Out 2" . 3. Go to the exhibition “The Origin of Macunaíma” at the new Mário de Andrade House-Museum


After undergoing an expansion and structural renovations, Casa Mário de Andrade is ready to welcome visitors. The exhibition that opens the new space is The Origin of Macunaíma ”, an interactive experience that tells the story of one of the most important works of Brazilian literature. Using Artificial Intelligence resources, the exhibition recreated the voice of Mário de Andrade to provide visitors with a unique conversation with the writer. The exhibition will be on display throughout the month of July, until August 4, from Tuesday to Sunday.

4. Discover Japanese street fashion at the exhibition " Sutorito Fashion: Fashion from the Streets"


The exhibition, which opened on the ground floor of Japan House São Paulo (JHSP), highlights Japanese street fashion through more than 100 photographs from the 1950s to the present day. The selection, coordinated by fashion director Souta Yamaguchi, who is also responsible for the Japan Effect exhibition on the 2nd floor, addresses different trends in Japanese street style , as well as international influences and cultural, social and political changes that have occurred over the years. The exhibition will be open to visitors until October 20, with free admission on the ground floor of JHSP.

5. Make the most of the last month of CASACOR São Paulo 2024


July is the last month to check out the 70 spaces and 5 art installations that make up the 37th edition of CASACOR São Paulo . The largest exhibition for decoration and architecture lovers in the Americas is on display until July 28 at Conjunto Nacional , an iconic building located in the heart of Paulista Avenue. Tickets range from R$56 (half-price) to R$111 (full-price) and can be purchased at the physical box office on the second floor of Conjunto Nacional or on the website .

7. Watch the Cirque du Soleil show


Starting July 4th, Cirque du Soleil will present CRYSTAL for the first time in Brazil. The 42nd production of the show will take place at Parque Villa Lobos and will feature a performance full of acrobatics performed on ice.

8. Celebrate ISA's 30th anniversary at the Museum THE HOME of Brazilian Objects


The Museu A CASA do Objeto Brasileiro is holding the exhibition " ISA 30 years - For a Socio-Environmental Brazil", a celebration of the three decades of work of the Instituto Socioambiental ( ISA ) in defending the rights of indigenous peoples, quilombolas, riverside dwellers and other traditional communities. The exhibition features indigenous art objects, handcrafted artifacts , and 30 fabric panels with more than 100 documentary images of the institute's actions over the past three decades. In addition, the ISA 's 30th anniversary celebrations include three rounds of conversations aimed at raising awareness and information about indigenous peoples in Brazil. The exhibition will remain open until August 25, 2024, and is open from Thursday to Sunday, from 10 am to 6 pm.
