October has arrived with an unmissable schedule for the capital of São Paulo! In addition to the classic Halloween parties, this month also features events of great cultural relevance: the highlights are São Paulo Fashion Week and the 48th São Paulo International Film Festival, which presents the Venice Film Festival winner “Still Here”, a new film by Walter Salles starring Fernanda Torres and Selton Mello. 1. Sao Paulo Fashion Week


The next season of São Paulo Fashion Week will take place at the Pavilhão das Culturas Brasileiras in Ibirapuera Park from October 16 to 20. In its 58th edition, curated by Renato de Cara, São Paulo Fashion Week pays tribute to journalist, editor and creative director Regina Guerreiro, an important name in Brazilian fashion . There will be 27 shows and tickets can be purchased on the event website .

2. 48th International Film Festival in São Paulo


For two weeks, the 48th edition of the São Paulo International Film Festival will screen 417 films from 82 countries in 29 different movie theaters in São Paulo, from October 17 to 30. The curated selection of films, which can be seen at this link , presents outstanding productions of contemporary world cinema , as well as new trends, themes, narratives, aesthetics and tributes to filmmakers. 4. Mega-exhibition 'The Cinema of Billy Wilder'


The MIS has announced the extension of “Billy Wilder ’s Cinema , a mega-exhibition that was a box office success at the museum. The exhibition pays homage to Billy Wilder, who directed classics such as Sunset Boulevard and Some Like It Hot and became one of the most famous filmmakers of the 20th century. Curated by the institution’s general director, André Sturm, the exhibition will now run until October 31st. Get your ticket and don’t miss out!

5. The shape of the end: sculptures in the Pinacoteca collection


An exhibition has opened at the Pinacoteca in São Paulo that pays homage to the space's centennial collection. With more than 13,000 works , ranging from the 12th century to the present day, the exhibition will be on display until May 2025 and is an opportunity to reflect on language, see and revisit fundamental works from the Pinacoteca's collection.
